Travel for Change

  • Symbols of strength and wisdom, the elephant is believed to be sacred and incredibly valuable in many cultures. Because of this, these majestic animals are to be preserved. Sadly, we have done the opposite. The world over, power & greed have singlehandedly eliminated hundreds of species in the past few decades, including our planet’s beautiful gentle friendly elephants. An elephant’s ivory tusk, a leopard’s spotted coat, a shark’s fin … innocent animals slaughtered daily for their beauty and uniqueness, for money. Today, amazing people all over the world have dedicated their lives to preserving our planet’s animals while creating awareness of their importance to us all, and YOU can help! Contact one of our Specialists today to discuss your next ‘impact vacation’.

  • Like our planet’s animals, innocent children around the world are targeted for unthinkable atrocities and/or abandoned, neglected, abused, by the minute. However, their sweet loving dispositions shine through incredible adversities because of amazing dedicated people around the world – from homemakers to doctors – who give unconditionally to fuel these young spirits with the basic necessities of life and a lot of love, so that they may grow up healthy with plenty of the same opportunities & resources we have. YOU can help be a part of their life-saving journey. Reach out to our Specialists to find out how you can directly impact a special little person on your next travels.

  • Undeniably taken for granted by the modern world, forests are the lifeline for humans, wildlife, our planet. Home to roughly two-thirds of all land-dwelling plant and animal species, lifelines for communities big and small, and one of the last lines of defense against catastrophic climate change, we all rely on forests for things like clean water, timber, and medicines for just about every illness. Decades of exploitation have destroyed most of the Earth’s natural forests, half of global forest land. With greenhouse gases spewing into the atmosphere, the fight for forests is fundamentally tied to our most critical challenge of all: global warming. Speaking from experience, the simple act of planting and protecting new trees all over the world is exhilarating in so many ways! Join us in the creation of new life!

  • Ironically, sanctuaries exist by ‘good humans’ - and are popping up all over the world – to clean up the messes of ‘bad’ humans’. Sadly, the most gentle, beautiful, the biggest and the rarest of our planets’ wildlife are targeted for legal & illegal trophy hunting. Wealthy trophy hunters pay ginormous bucks to local starving governments for permits granting them permission to kill animals of their choice. The unfortunate and very long list of “huntable” animals includes common species as impalas, black bears, zebras, giraffes, and baboons, but also include endangered species such as elephants, leopards, and white rhinos. When the mothers are killed for a paw, their coat, bile, a tusk or tooth … their babies are sadly left devastated, frightened and alone to fend for themselves, or become enslaved. Sanctuaries work diligently to save and care for abandoned babies giving them a chance at a full happy life! Whole sanctuary vacays are amazing but even day visits will blow your mind!!

  • Water is life! About 71% of the Earth’s surface is water-covered and the oceans hold about 96.5% of it all. Most of the human body is made up of water. Clean water is a primary basic essential for ALL life – human, animal and plant – yet astoundingly hundreds of millions of people around the world don’t have access to clean drinking water, while other parts of the world are continuously contaminating and/or bottling it for profit, and destroying natural resources that preserve it. A child dies every 90 seconds from water-related illness. A simple water filtration system can save lives and promote healthy food growth, sanitation, and hygiene. Thankfully there are organizations like Water To Wine, that we can partner with to aid families and communities around the world. Ask our Specialists about our experiences and how you can also participate.

  • Families around the world living without cement floors are often plagued by illness caused by unsanitary living environments. If you’ve ever traveled to third world countries and noticed half built/seemingly-abandoned homes along the roads or in the hillsides, you’re witnessing the countless ‘home owners’ who literally work for peanuts a day to pay for a handful of bricks at a time. It takes years for most to build a home that the western world can build in a week. Many of our Travel Pros have been moved beyond words to have participated in providing a family with a concrete floor dramatically improving their health, but also their pride, which in turn supports an entire community.
